The uniqueness of the proposed publication lies in the concise description of illustrations and the entire spectrum of theoretical and practical issues regarding the drainage of wounds and cavities for the vast majority of surgical specialties. Detailed information on the constructive features and methods of using drainage devices is provided based on the research results of SPE "KAMMED". The presented illustrations are predominantly examples from the authors' own practice. The book consists of two parts. The general part of the publication presents the classification of various drainage methods developed by the authors, describes the rules of drainage, and characterizes modern drainage systems. The special part substantiates the most effective options for using modern drainage methods and drainage devices for wounds and cavities in surgery, gynecology, urology, and other surgical fields of medicine. The role of minimally invasive approaches to drainage using percutaneous puncture techniques under the control of imaging tools, endoscopic, and laparoscopic methods is clarified.
